You'll love making this cute shelf with key ring holders for your entryway or another wall! It's a great place to stash keys, a wallet, mail, or other items as you walk in (or grab them as you leave).
* No physical items included in this listing. All items on and in the shelf are for visual examples only. *
I made the pictured item using 1/4" Walnut Plywood from OcoochHardwoods.com. I also made the same item from their 1/4" Maple Plywood. The Walnut (pictured) was a loose fit in all of the slots and I used glue in all connections. The Maple was extremely tight - which is a good reminder that even if a material is labeled as a certain thickness, you should ALWAYS measure with calipers and do small test cuts of a slot or two before cutting the entire project. You may need to adjust the slots based on your material measurements.
2 sheets of 12"x20" material used for this design.
In one of the pictured examples I engraved "Keys and Stuff" above the hangers. Use that space to be creative if you like! I use LocTite GO2 glue for all of my projects.
IMPORTANT: ALL MATERIALS VARY IN THICKNESS FROM BATCH TO BATCH, so you will need to measure your materials and adjust the slots if necessary. ALWAYS measure your materials before cutting to be sure the fit will be what you expect.
I use LocTite GO2 glue for all of my projects.
