Write a review

$7.00

This Sunflower makes any Alexa Dot or Google Home Mini soooo cute! You'll make it with 1/4" material (I do not recommend thinner) and it makes your previously boring and forgettable device into something adorable and beautiful!

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This design is made for 1/4" materials
  • There are 5 folders in the download, each with a number at the end representing the slot size. For example, the files named "Sunflower Dot Holder 24" have slots that are 0.24".
  • This design is NOT made to be used with thinner materials and will not properly support a device with thinner materials
  • WATCH THE ASSEMBLY VIDEO ABOVE!
  • You only need enough half circle spacers to clear the place where the cord plugs in to your device.

FILE FORMATS:

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

  • 1 sheet of 11" x 19" material that is 1/4"
  • There are 5 different slot sizes provided (0.21", 0.22", 0.23", 0.24", and 0.25")
  • This design is NOT made to be used with thinner materials and will not properly support a device with thinner materials

MATERIAL I USED:

  • 1/4" MDF
  • Montana 94 Spray Primer and Paints
  • Gorilla Glue Super Glue Gel

TIPS:

  • Per the video, I recommend gluing the plant stem and spacers together before painting. That will allow the glue maximum hold. Then paint as a unit.
  • I also recommend masking off the top of the topmost spacer so that the surface that glues to the back of the sunflower will adhere best without 2 layers of paint there.
  • Do not carry the project around by the flower. Carry it under the base. It is not designs to be carried by the flower and may break if strained in that manner.
