Retro Space Letter Bank Set (26 Letters + Elements)

 Our first Letter Bank Set was a HUGE hit, so we created a whole new set with a custom-designed base with sliding door, making it easier than ever to get the contents out whenever you want. But that's not all! 

• All 26 letters fit the same base design!
• The base door comes with a circle on the end to add a lock if desired
• The set includes TWO base versions, one with 12 slots to customize with up to 8 optional elements!
• The set also includes 8 optional stoppers for the coin slot!

Set Includes:

MATERIAL I USED:

• 1/4" MDF
• Slot size in base: 0.24"
• 1/8" clear acrylic
• Gorilla Glue Super Glue Gel
• Montana 94 Spray Paints
  
• NOTE: Be sure to measure your material with calipers.
  
  
  
• If you're painting, I recommend to do things in this order:
• Cut all of the pieces EXCEPT the base pieces.
• Paint all of your pieces.
• Measure the thickness INCLUDING the paint.
• Adjust your base slots to accommodate for that measurement.
• NOW cut the base. You'll be glad you did. :)
  
  
  
• ADDITIONAL PAINTING TIPS:
• If you paint the stoppers, the tab that goes into the coin slot will be slightly thicker, so be SURE to also paint the edges of your spacers so that the thickness of the coin slot will match your stopper thickness.

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

• Each letter varies slightly, but the average for the full sized pieces is 3-4 sheets of 11"x19" material + 1/3 sheet of acrylic.

MEASUREMENTS:

• Each letter averages 8.5" wide x 10.5" tall and the base is 4x5" x 10"

FONT I USED FOR SAMPLE NAME TEXT:

• BC Alphapipe RC Bold
• TIP: You can type out a child's name and add a bar and tab to it like I did in the video and add the name to the slots in the base -OR- you can cut it much larger and connected and glue it to the front face of the bank. Be creative and have fun with it!

• The number of spacers you'll need to use will vary based on the thickness of your 1/4" material. As we all know, materials are rarely what they are labeled. So I included a PDF showing you that your back layer + spacers + acrylic layer must equal 1.9" or more to cover the coin slot. 
  
  Example: If your material measures 0.24", you'll need 8 total layers (back piece + spacers + acrylic). Otherwise the base slot will be visible/not completely covered.
