  • There are several options you can choose to use or omit:

    • This project can be 2 or 3 layers.
      • If the main middle offset piece (seen in the pictures in clear acrylic) is opaque, then the back piece is optional. It's there to hide the glue that would be otherwise seen on the back through the clear acrylic.

    • I included 3 concentric circles for the base. The two smallest have slots in them for the middle offset piece to tab into and the largest circle adds visual dimension and also covers any visible glue for a clean visual finish.

    • Note that the slot size is 0.21" and the length of the tab is 0.41". You'll adjust the slot size if your material differs from that thickness and you'll also shorten the length of the tab if two layers of your base total less than 0.21".

    • In the file the black lines are labeled "cut" and the red lines are either "score" or "cut," depending on how you want to make the project.
      • If you choose to score the red lines, you can then either paint the entire top layer a single color -or- paint the different areas on that layer by hand.
      • If you choose to cut all of the red lines like I did, you can paint all of the parts separately and then reassemble on top of the middle offset layer. If you do this, I suggest glueing the center offset layer into all of the base pieces FIRST and let the glue dry completely. Then you can lay the award down with the base off the edge of a table, allowing the award to lay flat. Doing so will allow you to then glue the top pieces on, butting them against the top of the base and visually aligning them left to right with equal amounts of the middle offset showing on the left, right, and top. Also be sure to align the boarder circle in the hole at the top before the glue sets.

    • Add your own text by engraving directly onto the material -or- cutting it out like I did. The latter can look really great!

     MEASUREMENTS:

    •  ~9.3" x 6.4" x 3.98"

    MATERIAL I USED:

    • 1/4" acrylic for the middle offset piece (clear acrylic), base layers (black acrylic), and cornhole bags (blue and red acrylic)
    • 1/8" acrylic for the front and back layers (green and yellow)
    • NOTE: See that the front and back layers in my pictures are opposite each other. That's because I cut one of each of the front and back layers from the green and the yellow. Then I used part of each set on the front and back - again, to cover glue and to give it a great weight in the hand.

    AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

    • 1 sheet of 11" x 19" material if making it 1-2 layers or >2 sheets if making 3 layers like I did in the pictures.
