This design is simple, but can be used in so many ways! Cut it out of acrylic and make a 2-piece sign or announcement. Use transparent colored acrylic to add a whole new visual dimension. Make the bottom stand layer clear acrylic to give it an extra level of class!

 Project Details

OVERVIEW:

This file can be made with wood, MDF, or acrylic, or a mix of any materials you like. The slots in the base are 0.118", so you'll edit them for your materials. The base is two layers and the two layers are to be glued together and then the vertical pieces can either be glued into the slots -or- if you make the fit snug enough no glue may be needed. I recommend 0.25" material for the base so it'll be solid and the slots deep enough.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • 12.5" x 2.5" (base dimensions)
  • Vertical curved pieces: 6" x 10" and 5" x 8" 

 

MATERIALS I USED:

  • 0.25" MDF for the bases
  • 0.118" MDF for the curved vertical pieces
  • ** Acrylic for the vertical pieces would be beautiful!

 

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

  • 1 sheet of 11" x 19" material
