Spore Lamp Shade

This Spore Lamp Shade is one of those projects that will turn heads and get remarks. It's something that will be noticed and admired. Project Details

Project Overview:

• The Spore Lamp design was created specifically for this lamp --> https://amzn.to/3mxbqPN At the time of this post, the shade colors vary in price and the Periwinkle is the most inexpensive at $9.29.
  
  
• Many other lamps may work well! The socket shell hole diameter is 1.1". You can enlarge it slightly if needed. Please review the details in the Amazon listing for sizes if you'd like to get a different lamp to be sure it'll fit well.
  
  
• The lamp uses 1 x 40W type B E12 Candelabra Base bulb
  
  
• IMPORTANT: THIS DESIGN WILL ONLY WORK WELL WITH MATERIAL THAT IS BETWEEN 0.11" AND 0.125".

MEASUREMENTS:

• 8.125" wide x 9.6" tall

MATERIALS I USED:

• We made 3 versions, all with 1/8" materials.
• The ribs and rings were cut from 1/8" MDF for all 3 versions.
• We then painted an MDF version and cut 2 others from red and green 1/8" acrylic from houstonacrylic.com. 

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

• 4 sheets of 1/8" material
