Stained Glass Set (Luna Moth, Mushrooms, Sun & Moon)

This set includes 3 designs: a Luna Moth, Mushrooms, and a Sun and Moon. You can use them in several different ways including:

• Cutting as a single outline layer (with or without a hanging hook at the top)
• Cutting as a two layer with outline on top and solid backer
• Cutting as a two layer with solid back and put all pieces back in like stained glass

Use any material and thickness you prefer and use natural wood or acrylic or paint - have fun with them!

They come in the file at ~10.5", but you can make them just about any size you prefer. If you're engraving everything, you can make them quite small. If you're cutting and putting painted pieces back in, be careful making it much smaller because some of the pieces will become quite small and may burn up or be lost in your honeycomb tray.

NOTES:

• You can make these in several different ways, as you see in the photos.
• Select different lines to cut, engrave, or a combination.
• One way we loved was to put the pieces back in like stained glass, but to leave out the "background" pieces so that the backer piece shows through, giving the subject a more 3d or layered look.
• Be creative and have fun with them!

MEASUREMENTS:

• The files are initially approx 10.5" across, but you can resize them to your preference

MATERIALS I USED:

• For the painted versions, I used 1/4" MDF and Rustoleum Filler Primer and Montana 94 Spray Paints
• For the smaller engraved versions I used 1/8" TruFlat Oak

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

• At the file size of 10.5" across, you'll need 2 sheets of 11" x 19", but you *can* shrink them slightly so 2 can fit on a Glowforge sized sheet if you want to.
• If you change the size, of course the amount of material needed will change.
