Milk Can Sign

Project Details

NOTES:

• You can use any material you prefer for this project. We like 1/8" MDF. We spray painted it for a bright and colorful feel. 
  
  
• It's a layered design, meaning that there's a large single layer at the back and then all of the pieces glue to the top of that layer.
  
  
• The petals of the sunflower are technically optional in that you *can* omit them if you wish and let the background color come through those spaces. But we really like the color that comes with putting the petals back in after painting.
  
  
• TIP: To make placing the petals back in the right places easily, when removing them from your laser bed, put them back into the flower frame before picking it all up. Then when you go to paint, gently lift the flower frame off of them, leaving them in the same order. Then when you're done painting and they're dry, you can put them back in in the same order. LOTS easier that way.
  
  
• There are red lines in the file that you can either cut or score. I like to cut them so that I can paint each of those pieces a different color to give the can a bit more contrast. In the pics I painted the can white and the bands of color silver. Black would look great too!
