Project Details

NOTES:

• The base slots are initially 0.23”, but you’ll edit those to match the materials you’re using.
• I highly recommend 1/4” material your awards. They look and feel much more substantial and valuable. But you can mix in 1/8” like I did here. And mixing colors can really make it look fantastic too!
• I used 1/4” clear for the center piece and 1/8” acrylic for the two gear shapes on the front and back. Then I used 1/4” for all of the smaller half gears and the circle bases.
• IMPORTANT NOTE: There are 2 rectangles included. They are to be glued in between the 3 vertical layers to give them stability and not lean toward each other.
• To use these rectangles, you’ll need to measure your material with calipers and then move the base slots to be exactly that distance apart.
• Then the rectangles can be glued between the 3 vertical layers, making all 3 very solid and secure.
• For this spacing between the slots, kerf doesn’t matter. Just space them the actual material thickness size.

• 1/4" Clear Acrylic, 1/4" Black Acrylic, and 1/8" Bronze Metallic Acrylic from houstonacrylic.com.

• 1 to 1.25 sheets of 11" x 19" material
