📂 FILE FORMATS:

  • Ai
  • SVG
  • PDF
  • Includes README PDF file of all info listed here

📐 MEASUREMENTS:

  • The initial design is 5.6” tall x 10.7” long. Thickness varies with how many layers you choose to use and what material you choose.

  • The design can be made as big as you like - I made one that is ~19” long. I don’t recommend making it much smaller than the initial size because the moose antlers and tree branches will become very brittle. The larger, the better!

📚NUMBER OF LAYERS:

  • ** WATCH THE FILE OVERVIEW VIDEO ABOVE! **
  • You can use as few as 3 layers and as many as 11 or more.
  • In the file I have the pieces loosely grouped by layers I think make sense to go together.

🪵 MATERIAL I USED:

  • I used 1/8” MDF.
  • Since there are *no* pieces that need to fit together, the thickness you use doesn’t matter at all.
  • However, if you choose to use 1/4” I highly recommend that you enlarge it because the small parts like the moose antlers or tree branches will tend to burn out quite a bit at that size with that thickness.
  • Also, if you use material that thick, the entire 11 layers will make the project *very* deep, making it hard to see all the way back. So consider those things as you choose materials and layers.

🪵 AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

  • That depends on how many layers you make and how large you make it.
  • At the initial size, 3 layers fit on one sheet of 11”x19” material - so if you leave it that size and make all 11 layers it’ll take 4 sheets, less if you use fewer layers, more if you enlarge it. Again - be SURE to watch the videos above.

  • Short version: As pictured, 4 sheets of 11”x19”. In the video I show the option of using just 3 layers on just 1 sheet of material.

 👍 OPTIONS INCLUDED:

ALL OF THE INFO BELOW IS INCLUDED IN THE VIDEO + README PDF

  • Hanging: If you’d like to hang it on the wall, there’s a back piece to the far right in the file with pink optional screw holes. If you’d like to hang it, cut the layer with the pink screw holes AND the orange layer after it. The orange layer is a spacer that goes right BEFORE the back piece that leaves a space for the screw heads.

If you’re going to stand it with the base or use it in a way that doesn’t require screw holes, delete/ignore the pink holes and skip the orange layer at the end.

  • Stand: There’s an optional slotted stand included. As always, you’ll need to measure your material with your calipers and adjust the slot to accommodate what you’re using. If you’re using the stand, use the back layer with the tab at the bottom. If you’re not, ignore/delete that layer.

📝 NOTE: (This is explained in File Overview video as well) Only use the layers you want to use in your project. Most all of them are optional. Best practice is to fill each layer with a different color in your vector program and then stack them together there so you can see how it will look before cutting. That makes it easy to see what it’ll look like first and you can choose what layers you want and what order you want them in.
