This design includes 3 different sizes:

  1. A 13" horizontal version with stand
  2. A 26" tall vertical version with optional stand
  3. A 26" long horizontal version with stand

The design is totally resizable, but there are a few things you'll want to keep in mind as you make it:

  1. If you choose to resize it, select ALL of the parts and resize together
  2. As always, edit the slots in the base to match your material thickness after you resize

The sound hole gives you the option to cut it out, score it, or ignore it depending on how you want it to be.

The optional stand is free >>here<< and can be adjusted for any height or size. I also included one in the file that I use for the large vertical guitar version myself. You'll edit the slots in these to reflect your material size as well.

MEASUREMENTS

  • The Large Guitar is ~26" x 10.5". The thickness varies based on the material you choose to use.
  • The Small Guitar is ~13" x 5.25". The thickness here varies as well.

 

MATERIALS I USED

  • Small Guitar: 1/8" MDF and 1/8" Clear Acrylic + 1/4" MDF for the spacers
  • Large Guitar: 1/4" MDF and 1/4" Clear Acrylic

  • NOTE: You can use any material and thickness that you like. The only strong suggestion I have is that you use 1/4" for the spacers to ensure that the bank is thick enough for your content. Add as many spacers as you want to get the desired space inside. I recommend at least 3.

 

AMOUNT OF MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • Small Guitar: 1 1/3 sheets of MDF (11"x19") and 1/3 of clear acrylic
  • Large Guitar: 6 sheets of MDF (11"x19") and 1 of clear acrylic

 

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

  • Paint I used: Krylon Spray Paints (primer and colors)
  • LocTite GO2 Glue (blue cap)
