Nightstand Organizer Caddy (Storage in Back)

SIZE:
9" x 8" x 5.25"

MATERIALS:
I included two versions -

• 1/8" -- I used walnut plywood from https://smokeyhilldesigns.com/
• 1/4" -- I used Sapele from https://smokeyhilldesigns.com/ and Green Glass Acrylic from http://ceruleantides.com/

The design can be cut from a single 12"x20" sheet of material. But there's a extra optional piece (see overview video) to use if you like. That will require a small part of a second sheet if used.

** ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS MEASURE YOUR MATERIAL FIRST AND CUT A SAMPLE SLOT AND ADJUST THE FILE IF NEEDED BEFORE CUTTING THE PROJECT.


** TIPS:

• DELETE ALL TEXT IN FILE BEFORE LOADING DESIGN INTO YOUR LASER SOFTWARE.
• If you use CorelDraw or Inkscape, I included a 1" square so you can scale the design to that known measurement properly.

I used felt to line the two rectangles in the back. The Glowforge settings I used to cut the felt were 250 speed/32 power. Your results may vary. If you'd like to do the same, open the design in your vector program and copy/paste the two rectangles into another workspace and save them separately and then cut.

If you need to adjust the slot sizes, that's no problem. I included sample copies of each slot in the design so that you can easily resize that slot and replace the existing ones with your resized ones.
