Desk Name Plate with Acrylic and Wood Base

4 Reviews

$7.00

This is one of my original desk plate designs and still the most popular! With this file you can use clear acrylic for the vertical name piece or engrave into wood. Either option would be beautiful. I always like to put a clear acrylic layer at the bottom of the base below the wood. It gives it more weight and it looks very classy.

Project Details
  • ~10.75”x3.5"

  • Slots sizes 0.221"

  • ALWAYS measure your material with calipers first and adjust slot size if needed

  • See Tips and Tutorials tab if you need help adjusting slots

  • Since people rarely look at the bottom, I don't worry about glue being visible through the clear base. I put a few dots of glue in the corners of the tab that goes through the two bases as well as a few more dots near the four corners between the two bases and then put the tab through and let the glue dry.

MATERIALS I USED:

  • 1/4" Walnut Plywood (or Maple Plywood)
  • 1/4" Green Glass Acrylic

Files include:

  • Layered SVG and Layered PDF files [IN 1 ZIP FILE]

  • No fonts are included, so you will add your own text to the existing file.

**Remember to flip all text and engrave from the back for best results.

I use LocTite GO2 glue for all of my projects.
