2024 2025 Grad Year Hat Award Set (3 Sizes)

This set includes 3 sizes of graduation awards all with space to engrave a name and a message for the recipient. They're designed for 1/8" material, but you can edit the base slot and tab to work with other thicknesses as well. Click the "Project Details" tab above to learn more.

Project Details

NOTES:

• All 3 versions are initially made for 1/8" material, but if you know how, you can edit the file in your vector design program to use other thicknesses
• The file includes half circles for the small and medium versions that you can use to engrave on (see pictures). This can be useful if you want to use different types of materials or colors or if you want to use clear or translucent acrylic for the main part and don't want to engrave directly on it.
• The files also include 2 of the date/hat pieces with one being intentionally backwards. This is included for use on the back if you're going to use clear or translucent acrylic for the main piece. Having this additional piece to glue on the back will give you a way to hide any glue from the front.
• There is a 3rd base piece that is same size as the top base piece. This is to glue on the bottom to give the base a slight "floating" look. You can omit this 3rd piece if you don't want to use it.

• Large version: 8.2" wide x 7.8" tall
• Medium version: 8.2" wide x 8.5" tall
• Small version: 8.2" wide x 6.8" tall

MATERIALS I USED:

• I made several versions, all with 1/8" material. I used MDF, Pre-finished wood from GS2awards.com, and acrylic from HoustonAcrylic.com

AMOUNT OF MATERIAL NEEDED:

• All 3 sizes can be made from 1 sheet of 11" x 19" material each.
